Dear Santa
On this Christmas ,Please gift this world-Peace , prosperity and may good sense prevail.
In 2011, the world witnessed excessive turmoil and chaos. Thank You for bestowing strength to “THE PROTESTORS” on the streets of  the MENA region  to stand up for their rights and for the cause of their nations. Thank you for spreading the fragrance of JASMINE all around ….but I earnestly hoped that  this fragrance would not have been marred with so much of violence! The devastating Tsunami and the subsequent Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan inflicted so much pain and distress to the fellow brethrens . Give them strength to bounce back with a bang. The world was shackled in webs of economic problems.Be it the US Debt crisis, the EURO crisis, the flight of capital from the emerging economies , the subsequent contagion and speculation, the wide display of “ANIMAL SPIRITS” pervading the world Economy or the Practicals of the theory of the policy of TRILLEMA of Macroeconomics in several countries (especially in my dear country –India).Oh ! I am flabbergasted …I was always taught in my Economics class that Economics is a social science and hence we cannot experiment it in real time situations but….ENOUGH….so much of Practicals is hard for me to digest. !!!!.
Please Bless this world with a positive vibe…of optimism vis-à-vis pessimism . I am tired of hearing “Everything is bad”,”Nothing can be done” . Make them bold ,rational  and true world citizens.Bless this world with social cohesion and progress. Enough of female infanticide and gender bias. Make these “silly people” realize that men and women are both the creations of that one GOD. Enough of bickering and fighting on the pretext of caste and religion.Please remind these mortals that it is people like them and us who have gifted ourselves with this “dangerous” gift….so called “caste and religion”. Remind them that they are in stead blessed with the most precious gift  of  Nature and Environment . It is therefore, our responsibility to look after her and pass it on to the future generations as we received it . Bless the world-the developed and the developing world –with sense of cooperation and mutual coexistence in this FLAT WORLD…Enough of “WARS”(literally be it in Iraq or Afganistan)..Enough of “food crisis” in the “HORN OF AFRICA”, enough of floods in Pakistan and Thailand, enough of drought in Australia and forest fire in Russia….Enough of dailies with news of WPI/CPI volatility and prospects of gloomy world economy. Enough of human pain , the negativity in human psychosis and enough of human suffering.
Please make this world –one nice,beautiful place to live and live with honour ,dignity and respect.

       Be generous !Be big hearted …Open your “big red goodie bag” and bless my beautiful  world.

Strategy for General Studies General Studies is a very important paper in CSE both in Prelims and Mains. With the changing pattern of the CSE especially in the last 1-2 years , it becomes imperative for each aspirant to be very much updated with the current happenings and news apart from the conventional portion. GS can broadly be divided into two parts-Conventional portion(like History,geography, polity) and Current affairs.
